Port Isabel is a charming coastal community located on the tropical Tip of Texas - South Padre Island is right across the causeway from us. The town has a full-time population of about 5,000 but, that number swells greatly with visitors during the summer vacation season or Winter Texan time. Our town has an average temperature around 80 and boast way more sunny days than the average U.S. city. Our location on the Laguna Madre Bay gives us some lovely views and multiple marinas and docks. We are a destination for bay and deep sea sports fishing. Other water activities include kayaking, parasailing, dolphin watching and eco-tourism and great boating tours. Local businesses provide wonderful dining at our area restaurants, fresh fish and seafood at our markets, and excellent walk-around town snacks and sweets. If you need groceries, a pharmacy, a clinic, supplies or other services Port Isabel is your destination to stock up and find services. We also have some exceptional small retailers for you to visit. Walk around Lighthouse Square for some boutique shopping or visit some of our small businesses for unique furnishings, clothing and gifts.

Port Isabel has such a rich history that visitors here can enjoy a day at our museums. They can climb our historical lighthouse. They can walk around the city and find our many historical markers and medallions. I recommend a visit to our unique historic cemetery.

Guests here can stay at a historic inn, enjoy a charming hotel, rent a home or condo or park in one of our RV parks.

Port Isabel has several pleasant city parks to visit. Including Buelah Lee Park, and the smallest State Park in Texas - Lighthouse Square and Replica Keepers Cottage.

We invite you to come and explore lovely Port Isabel - a community by the bay with an authentic seaside character!
