The Port Isabel Chamber of Commerce invites you to join us for the 33rd Annual Shrimp Cook-Off & Seafood Festival, happening Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Sutherlands in Port Isabel, Texas.

For over three decades, this beloved coastal tradition has brought together locals, visitors, businesses, and seafood lovers to celebrate the rich shrimping heritage of Port Isabel and the surrounding coastal communities. Whether you’re a longtime attendee or joining us for the first time, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Taste the Best of the Coast!

The highlight of the festival is our annual Shrimp Cook-Off, where talented chefs, local restaurants, businesses, and aspiring cooks compete to create incredible dishes featuring Gulf shrimp only! Contestants will compete in Professional, Amateur, and High School divisions, showcasing their creativity and culinary skills for a chance to earn top honors.

Festivalgoers can enjoy a variety of delicious shrimp dishes and take part in the excitement by voting for their favorite contestant in the People’s Choice Award! Additional awards include division honors and the always-entertaining Showmanship Award.

Live Music, Food, Drinks & Family Fun!

There’s more to enjoy beyond the competition! Spend your Saturday by the bay with live music throughout the day, delicious food, refreshing frozen margaritas, beer, seltzers, and a variety of local vendors offering unique products and merchandise.

Bring the whole family and enjoy a lively coastal atmosphere filled with great food, entertainment, and community spirit. We’re also excited to welcome Point Isabel ISD students, who will take the stage beginning at 2:00 PM to share special performances with festival attendees.

Whether you’re sampling shrimp, browsing vendor booths, enjoying a cold drink, or spending time with friends and family, the Shrimp Cook-Off & Seafood Festival is the perfect way to experience the best of Port Isabel!

Supporting Our Community & Coastal Heritage

More than just a festival, the Annual Shrimp Cook-Off & Seafood Festival celebrates the hardworking shrimping industry that has helped shape our coastal community for generations. Proceeds from this event also support local student scholarships, making every visit an opportunity to give back while enjoying one of Port Isabel’s favorite traditions.

The Port Isabel Chamber of Commerce welcomes Professional, Amateur, and High School contestants interested in competing in this year’s Shrimp Cook-Off. Local businesses, restaurants, and individuals are encouraged to showcase their best Gulf shrimp creations!

We are also accepting applications from food, retail, arts and crafts, and specialty vendors interested in being part of the festivities. Vendor spaces are limited, and availability is based on category and space requirements.
