SUMMARY:7th Annual Summer Causeway Run & Fitness Walk
DESCRIPTION:7th ANNUAL SUMMER CAUSEWAY RUN & FITNESS WALK:  bit.ly/summerrun2022 \nSeptember 17\, 2022 – 7 am- Port Isabel- South Padre Island\, Texas \nSTART: Causeway Run starts at 7 am sharp at the Port Isabel Community Center. Fitness Walk starts at 7:15 am \nLate Registration Fees: $40 (10k Run) $35 (5k Walk) $25 Students & Military with ID Late registration can be processed at the Chamber office Sept. 12-15\, 2022\, Monday-Thursday from 9am-5pm.\, or online until Sept. 15\, 2022\, 10pm: bit.ly/summerrun2022. Chamber office will be closed Friday\, Sept. 17th to prepare for late registration. \nOn-Site Late Registration: Port Isabel Community Center\, 213 Yturria St. Port Isabel\, Friday Sept. 16th from 4-7pm or Saturday\, Sept 17th from 5:30-6:30am. \nT-Shirt & Walker Wristband Pick Up: Participants may check in at the Port Isabel Chamber office Mon.-Thurs. the week of the event from 9am-5pm to pick up their T-Shirts and walker wristbands. Only Runners who register by Sept 7th will receive their personalized bibs.\n \nMid Valley Packet pick up & Late Registrations for 10k & 5k:\n \nWill take place on Wednesday\, Sept. 14th 5 pm-8 pm at the Weslaco Chamber of Commerce\, 275 S Kansas Ave\, Weslaco\, TX 78596. You must be registered by Sept 7th to pick up your bibs in Weslaco. Otherwise\, you are welcome to pick up your bibs/timing chip at the Port Isabel Community Center on Friday\, Sept 16th from 4pm-7pm or Saturday\, Sept. 17th from 5:30-6:30 am.\n \nT shirts are guaranteed to the first 1000 participants to Check In. Sizes are not guaranteed. \nRace Course: 10k (6.2mi) starts at the Community Center and ends at Louie’s Backyard on South Padre Island. One major incline. Water stations at locations along race course and at the finish line. Police & EMS protection provided. The run is USA Track & Field certified: Certification #TX15006WG. \nFitness Walk Course:  5k (3mi.) course starts at the Port Isabel Community Center and ends at the Padre Balli Statue on South Padre Island. THIS IS NOT A RACE. IT IS A PARTICIPATION WALK. \nAwards: Medals will be given to the top 3 overall male and female winners as well as first through third place winners in each male and female age division of the 10k. Overall winners will be ineligible for awards in their respective age divisions. Awards will be presented immediately following the race and scoring at Louie’s. FREE refreshments will be available while supplies last. PARTICIPANTS CROSSING THE FINISH LINES WILL RECEIVE FINISHER MEDALS(while supplies last). \n  \nShuttle Service: SHUTTLE SERVICE WILL BE AVAILABLE! ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ARE ALLOWED IN THE RUN OR WALK!
