In 2015, the port moved 10.1 million tons of steel, minerals, gasoline, diesel, windmill components, among other cargo and commodities. Port activity directly and indirectly supports 44,036 jobs and 3 billion in annual statewide economic activity. Additionally, increases in cargo volumes and values is a contributing factor in the port's Foreign Trade Zone No. 62's recent ranking as second in the nation for the value of exports.
